EarSketch - Computational Music

June 4th and 5th - $25 - 9:00 to 10:30 am

In this workshop, you will be learning computer science and music technology side by side. You will use Python to create and remix music within the same kind of digital audio workstation (DAW) software used throughout the music industry.

Along the way, we will cover important computer science concepts like variables, functions, lists, loops, and conditionals, and we will connect them to important music and music technology concepts like rhythm, form, effects, and multi-track editing.

Musicians and programmers write computer code for many exciting uses: from creating new sounds or effects or musical structures to designing entirely new ways to create and perform music.

3D Printing and 3D Design

June 6th and 7th - $25 - 9:00 to 10:30 am

July 1st and 2nd - $25 - 1:30 to 3:00 pm

We will focus on the principles of 3D design and how to take something from the digital world to the reality. The workshop builds on techniques and skills the students might have already obtained while focusing on immediate output! We will be 3D printing within minutes of the class beginning and everyone goes home with something they created.

We will be using a variety of 3D printers and design software to fully explore all available

Coding

July 22nd and 23rd - $25 - 9:30 to 11:00 am

Coding is Literacy. Give your student the opportunity to learn the skills necessary to be competitive in the 21st century. This week long experience will take campers through the three basic algorithms and four pillars of computer science. Students will then be able to flex their learning with a series of DIY electronics projects based on the Adafruit Circuit Playground Express.

We use DIY electronics kits to learn coding! Hands-on is the best way to connect the digital world with reality!
